Origin~ the worktop range from Spain
Our new forklift is being especially manufactured for us by Hubtex of Germany based upon their MQ35 model.
We wanted to be sure that we were buying the best handling solutions in the World to provide a safe working environment for our workers and a forklift that could handle delicate laminated worktops with the minimum of damage.
Storing worktops up to 9.5 metres up from the ground (Another World first? ) was a difficult challenge to most forklift manufacturers to come up with a solution that also permitted us to utilise a narrow aisle system.
Only Hubtex could come up with the perfect solution.
Besides satisfying our aisle width and height reach requirements, Hubtex were able to provide us with the following sophisticated safety features:
A colour closed circuit camera shows exactly what is going in at fork height in a screen mounted in the forklift’s cab.
A special pre-select height facility permits the automatic access to all rack tiers ~ this takes out the risk element even further.
Four pre-select buttons in the cab place the outside pallet in exactly the right position at the end of the finger rack. (600mm, 620mm, 670mm & 900mm.)
As each tier of the racking actually can carry two pallets of either 600, 620 or 670mm boards a special colour band is painted on to each support arm to show when the inner pallet is safely located within its portion of arm support.
This objective is further backed up by the reach control system on the truck and does not permit the pallet to be pushed so far into the rack that it makes contact with the upright support columns.
Special transponder pods ensure that the truck cannot travel in the aisles any further than is safe and that the forklift slows down upon entry or exit from an aisle.
Other sensors ensure that there is no human in close proximity to the truck and that the fork carriage cannot be put through the varying height roof.
A special picking platform is also being manufactured later that will plug into our forklift and permit two man operation of the forklift directly from the platform.
By using such a truck we can ensure that we are offering you the best quality of worktop handling within our warehouse, cutting down on potential damage that costs us all money otherwise.
